Habitat and Water Resource Assessment for Land Use Planning Course
The Hudson River Estuary Program and Hudsonia Ltd. are excited to announce a short course in Habitat and Water Resource Assessment for Land Use Planning to be held September 14-15 in New Paltz. The course is designed especially for municipal officials, planners, and land trust staff to help land use decision-makers achieve more ecologically-sound planning outcomes. Hands-on exercises involving map analysis, site plan review, and field visits will supplement lectures on habitats of the Hudson Valley, conservation principles, and land-use planning tools. Participants will receive practical information and guidance that can be applied immediately to environmental reviews, natural resource inventory, and open space planning.
Space is limited and there is a competitive application process, due September 7. You can fill out an online application here.
