Inventories to Action Workshop November 9th

The Hudson River Estuary Program and Hudsonia Ltd. will hold a one-day workshop for municipal agencies and land trusts about using a completed Natural Resources Inventory or Open Space Plan. The “Inventories to Action” workshop will be held on Saturday, November 9th from 9am – 4 pm at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Road in Castleton, NY.

This workshop will provide guidance on using a Natural Resources Inventory or Open Space Plan for comprehensive planning, revising a zoning ordinance or other local legislation, conducting reviews of site plans or subdivision plats, and designing conservation easements. This workshop is especially for members of municipal agencies of Hudson Valley communities that have completed or are now preparing a Natural Resource Inventory or Open Space Plan, though others that have not yet completed such projects are welcome to attend. Applicants from counties outside of the Estuary watershed will be considered if spaces are available.

Lunch and light refreshments will be served. Self-certification forms for seven hours of municipal training credits will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, contact Lea Stickle at 845-758-7053; lstickle@bard.edu.
