What is the Regional Indicators Dashboard?
Working in partnership, the Capital Region Chamber’ s Non-Profit Business Advisory Group, the AVAIL Lab at UAlbany, the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, the Capital District Transportation Committee, and CDRPC have begun the process of developing a new regional indicators dashboard which will establish a common collection of key indicators while making the variety of data more accessible and useful to communities and organizations throughout the region. More than 80 stakeholders attended a meeting hosted by the Capital Region Chamber on February 5th and provided input on the project to inform the development of these new data tools. In addition, a follow up survey was distributed to attendees which will help guide the development of the project. The new dashboards will facilitate data visualizations and allow users to download the data for further analysis. Check back here soon for more information.
What is a Regional Indicator?
Communities are trying to improve the quality of life of their residents. Indicators measure what the community cares about and track whether the community is moving in the right direction. Regional Indicators are important because they help communities around the world the question: Are we there yet? The Capital Region is a vibrant community where many organizations are working to improve the quality of life for our residents. Imagine what could happen if we worked together. Imagine the collective impact of our work if we aligned around improving key indicators.
