Land Use Leadership Alliance Training Program! (LULA)
New Training Opportunity for Capital Region Municipalities!
Municipal officials and local land use leaders across the Capital Region are invited to participate in an upcoming training focused on clean energy and responsible land use planning.
In collaboration with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the Capital District Regional Planning Commission (CDRPC), Pace University’s Land Use Law Center will bring its nationally recognized Land Use Leadership Alliance Training Program (LULA) to the Capital Region this spring.
The program will provide practical guidance for local officials navigating the evolving intersection of land use planning and clean energy development. Participants will learn about planning authority, regulatory tools, and strategies to balance renewable energy development with the protection of natural resources and agricultural land. The training will also explore approaches to community engagement and consensus-building, helping municipalities navigate complex land use decisions.
