CDRPC has been working with the City of Watervliet, the Town of Guilderland, and surrounding municipalities to develop a Drinking Water Source Protection Plan (DWPS2). This effort is being conducted in partnership with NYSDEC and the NYSDOH in support of their Drinking Water Source Water Protection Plan initiative. CDRPC is the technical assistance provider for the project.

Current Project Status
The project stakeholder group is currently being asked to take a survey to evaluate the draft protection methods they deem as the most impactful and feasible. You can access the Jotform survey through an external link here or scroll down to access it through the CDRPC domain. This survey closes Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Before starting, please take a few minutes to review the following two reference documents for an informed, collaborative decision-making process:
- Raw Water Quality Summary Report – Summarized trends and data from monitoring reports
- Contaminant Source Summary – Overview of potential contaminant sources, including their frequency and proximity to the reservoir (reference throughout the survey)
