CDRPC Local Government Workshop Webinar: Not In My Backyard: Community Opposition to Land Use Applications

$15It’s not Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood anymore. Our open discussion will address the legal fine points and ever-changing role of NIMBY-ism in land use review, the rise of social media information, FOIL, and legal standing.

Planning board and zoning board of appeals members are required by state statute to obtain four hours of training a year. Town, village and city zoning board of appeals and planning board members, as well as county planning board members must receive training. This webinar series was developed to provided for participant to obtain credits necessary for their planning and zoning board service. Municipalities have a wide latitude in defining what training is acceptable. Please provide this email to the chair of your local planning or zoning board and/or your local clerk for proof of attendance and application for the one hour of required credits.
